Tell us a little bit about yourself?
I was born in Cyprus and I moved to London six years ago to study Public Relations. I have been supporting young generation designers for the past six years and I was voted the 2nd Best Dressed Man in Britain by Esquire magazine UK in 2010. I am also working as a freelance digital consultant and I am now passing my knowledge by teaching the Business of Luxury course at Istituto Marangoni. I continue to explore my passions and enjoying what this city is offering the most, creativity and innovation. Last week, I launched 'The Gentleman Blogger' which is my personal journey, full of discoveries, towards becoming an elegant gentleman ...
• How/when/why did you start blogging?
The Gentleman
Blogger launched on the 26 of July 2012, after Diane Pernet suggested I
should start my own blog. I felt the need to inspire, to confuse and challenge traditional men's style.
• What are your influences when it comes to getting dressed in the morning?
The people that I'm planning to meet on the day.
• What's your favourite item in your wardrobe and why?
I
am a big fan of white shirts. They just add a sparkle of perfection to
any outfit.
• Where is your favourite place to shop?
The Box Boutique for ultimate slippers, COS for casual outdoor clothes,
Ozwald Boateng for suits and Richard James for accessories.
• Give us a style no-go:
Suits and trainers are a faux-pas.
• What's your perfect summer outfit?
It turns out to be my
double-breasted navy blue suit by Reiss with a yellow dog-printed
handkerchief.
• What is your favourite item in our website?
Mark Thomas Taylor Navy Riviera Shorts!
• What's on your wishlist for A/W 2012?
From established
brands I have my eyes to Jil Sander paper bag and the Costume National
rain jacket! From young designers keeping an eye to Six Lee new knitwear
pieces.
• Where do you see yourself in 10 years time?
I would love to work for European Committee or Cyprus Embassy in their
cultural department. I like working on creative projects which directly
help young people and make a difference to the world.
• Who is your style icon?
Looking
at the past Federico Fellini is a figure that constantly comes to mind
for inspiration. His ultimate sharp look, but also his movies have
turned into my main creative drive.
